Privacy Policy
How Observability Limited collects, uses, and protects your information. Last updated 19 September 2026.
Overview
Observability Limited ("we", "us") operates the website observability.limited. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of our website and does not cover the data practices of clients under a signed services agreement, which are governed by that agreement.
Information we collect
We collect the information you voluntarily provide when you submit a discovery request or contact form — your name, work email, company, and message. We also collect limited technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to measure performance. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymized usage data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site remains functional without them.
How we use your information
We use the information collected to respond to enquiries, schedule discovery calls, improve our website and services, and send relevant follow-up communications where you have requested them. We do not sell your information to third parties.
Legal basis
Under the UK GDPR, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and the performance of a contract where one exists. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
Data sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate the site (such as analytics and email delivery), under terms that require them to protect it and use it solely for our instructions. We disclose information where required by law.
Data retention
Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months after our last interaction, unless you become a client. Client data is retained for the duration of the engagement and thereafter as agreed or as required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to or complain about our processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@observability.limited.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest and least-privilege access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
